Florida Public Records Law (Chapter 119, Florida Statutes)
The Florida Public Records Law (Chapter 119, Florida Statutes) requires the Washington County Supervisor of Elections to make non-exempt records available for public inspection and copying.
- All records made or received in connection with official business are presumed public unless specifically exempt.
- The Supervisor of Elections must respond promptly and in good faith to public records requests.
- Reasonable fees may be charged, but access cannot be denied based on who is requesting or why.
